Job Description
This is a benefited, full-time position (80 hours per pay period) with an 8-hour day shift schedule located at our Scripps Clinic in Torrey Pines. This position will generally work Monday through Friday within standard working hours of 8am-5pm. Our specialties have been nationally recognized for quality in areas such as cardiovascular care, oncology, orthopedics, geriatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, and gastroenterology.
As a Supervisor of Clinical Operations, you will:
- Manage daily staffing for assigned clinic operations.
- Ensure nursing practice reflects established standards of care and practice and a culture that promotes patient safety.
- Ensure the safe transition of patients through the continuum of care to include active participation of nursing staff in planning and coordinating patient care, and direct hand-off to next appropriate level of care.
- Under the general direction of the Manager/Director, share leadership responsibilities for the nursing staff (LVNs and MAs), including managing daily staffing plans.
- Be responsible for managing and maintaining schedules for optimal efficiency.
- Work in partnership with Management and Physicians to ensure quality and efficiency in the management of patient care.
- Be responsible for management and development of clinical staff.
- Contribute to operations management of assigned business unit(s).
- Participate in budget planning and management.
- Take proactive initiative in quality management.
Required:
- At least two of years applicable clinical experience.
- Requires excellent skills in communication, problem-solving, team development, planning and follow-through.
- Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility for assigned services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of patient care.
- Maintains current California LVN license.
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required in clinical setting.
Preferred:
- Graduate of an accredited LVN program.
- EPIC experience.
- Leadership experience.
- Experience addressing performance concerns with employees.
- Experience scheduling staff/managing staff schedules.
