Job Description

This is a benefited, full-time position (80 hours per pay period) with an 8-hour day shift schedule located at our Scripps Clinic in Torrey Pines. This position will generally work Monday through Friday within standard working hours of 8am-5pm. As a Supervisor of Clinical Operations, you will:

  • Manage daily staffing for assigned clinic operations.
  • Ensure nursing practice reflects established standards of care and practice and a culture that promotes patient safety.
  • Ensure the safe transition of patients through the continuum of care to include active participation of nursing staff in planning and coordinating patient care, and direct hand-off to next appropriate level of care.
  • Under the general direction of the Manager/Director, share leadership responsibilities for the nursing staff (LVNs and MAs), including managing daily staffing plans.
  • Be responsible for managing and maintaining schedules for optimal efficiency.
  • Work in partnership with Management and Physicians to ensure quality and efficiency in the management of patient care.
  • Be responsible for management and development of clinical staff.
  • Contribute to operations management of assigned business unit(s).
  • Participate in budget planning and management.
  • Take proactive initiative in quality management.

Required:

  • At least two of years applicable clinical experience.
  • Requires excellent skills in communication, problem-solving, team development, planning and follow-through.
  • Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility for assigned services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of patient care.
  • Maintains current California LVN license.
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required in clinical setting.

Preferred:

  • Graduate of an accredited LVN program.
  • EPIC experience.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Experience addressing performance concerns with employees. 
  • Experience scheduling staff/managing staff schedules.

Position Pay Range: $42.51-$61.62/hour

Please note that actual pay will be determined based on relevant experience and internal equity within the pay range. Please also note this range is applicable for employees who reside in California only. A geographical pay differential may be applied for remote employees who reside out of state.
