Job Description

Supervisor, Patient Care Registered Nurse (RN) – Full Time
Schedule: Full Time, Night Shift
Location: Scripps Memorial La Jolla, NST ICU

This position is eligible for New Hire and Relocation Incentives up to $7K .

RN Supervisor, Patient Care – 30 Bed Neurosurgical Trauma ICU

Join a winning team supporting the 30 Bed Neurosurgical Trauma ICU Unit as an RN Supervisor, Patient Care, at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla. Working together, you’ll bring your expertise, compassion and excellence to all we do.

In this role, you will:

As an RN Supervisor, you will:

  • Ensure nursing practice reflects established standards of care and practice and a culture that promotes patient safety.
  • Under the general direction of the Patient Care Manager, share leadership responsibilities for the nursing unit, including managing daily staffing plans.
  • Ensure appropriate and timely use of bed placement technology and adherence to care processes for:
    • Bed placement
    • Patient transfer
    • Patient transport
    • Room cleaning
    • Patient discharge
  • Ensure the safe transition of patients thru the continuum of care to include active participation of nursing staff in planning and coordinating patient care, and direct hand-off to next appropriate level of care.

This is a Full Time Salaried, Night Shift, position located at Scripps Memorial La Jolla.

  • Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Registered Nursing Degree from an Accredited School of Nursing
  • Active California RN license
  • American Heart Association, Healthcare Provider, BLS and ACLS Certifications
  • Two (2) years of adult acute care ICU RN experience
  • One (1) year of experience in a leadership role
  • Excellent skills in communication, problem-solving, team development, planning and follow-through.
  • Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility for assigned services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of patient care.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BSN – Bachelor’s degree in nursing

Position Pay Range: $64.66-$93.61/hour

Please also note this range is applicable for employees who reside in California only. A geographical pay differential may be applied for remote employees who reside out of state.
