Job Description
This position is a Casual status also known as Per Diem RN position. Located at Scripps Clinic Rancho Bernardo. The shift is 0800-2030 with varies days, weekends and holidays. We require availability of a minimum of 4 shifts per month. Training ideally would be part time or full time.

What you’ll do:
- Perform patient assessments and care tasks, including emergency procedures and medication administration.
- Educate patients and document patient interactions.
- Practice infection control and contribute to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care within your scope of practice.
- Ensure Scripps patients and their families have an exceptional health care experience.
- Provides direct patient care to high acuity patients in a complex department within the scope of practice.
- Engages in complex clinical procedures and may provide clinical assessments to surgical patients in the hospital setting.
- Patient care includes compliance with patient assessments and care tasks, triaging, completion of clinical procedures, emergency protocols and medication administration.
- Works collaboratively with the other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.
Experience/Specialized Skills:
- Completion of accredited RN program
- Previous RN experience in Emergency Services or Urgent Care
Required Certification/Registration:
- Current CA license
- Current American Heart Associate Healthcare Provider BLS, ACLS and PALS certificate
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
- 1+ years RN experience in Emergency Department or Urgent Care within the past 3 years is strongly preferred
- NIH
- BSN
- CEN
