This is a Full-Time Day shift position located at Scripps Green Hospital in Torrey Pines, La Jolla.
Since 1977, Scripps Green Hospital has provided La Jolla and the greater San Diego area with top-notch medical care. Scripps Green Hospital is connected to Scripps Clinic, Torrey Pines, where Clinic patients can easily be admitted for medical care and observation.
Organ transplantation, cardiothoracic and orthopedic surgery, as well as oncology care are just a glimpse of the quality clinical and surgical services Scripps Green Hospital has to offer. This expansive La Jolla hospital is known for the first liver transplant program in San Diego as well as one of the first stem cell transplant facilities in the nation.
Join Scripps Green as Registered Nurse – RN in Surgical Acute and feel the pride working for our patient-focused culture. Surgical Acute is a 34 bed, all-private room unit, providing care for a variety of complex post-surgical patients. With a 5:1 nurse to patient ratio, the care team consists of Patient Care Assistants and RNs committed to providing exceptional patient care.
As Registered Nurse in Surgical Acute, you will provide direct patient care within the scope of your practice. Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients’ progress towards expected outcomes. The RN takes primary responsibility for the patients’ care as delivered by the Care Team under your supervision and works collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.
Required Experience/Specialized Skills:
- 1 year RN experience.
- Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.
Required Certification/Registration:
- Current CA RN License
- Current AHA BLS
Required Education/Course(s)/Training:
- One-year inpatient surgical experience.
- Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
