We’re also home to notable specialty programs, including cancer care, heart surgery, orthopedic surgery, labor and delivery services (including a Level III neonatal intensive care unit) and a nationally designated Comprehensive Stroke Center.

Job Description

Works collaboratively with the RN Care Managers to provide best patient care for a safe, timely discharge. Identifies solutions in serving the community with the highest quality of care. Assists patients and families with personal and environmental problems which predispose illness or which interfere with their obtaining maximum benefits from medical care. Performs competencies as outlined in unit specific competency assessment tools as well as demonstrate age specific care as established for a Clinical Social Worker in an adult acute care setting.
Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills: Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) from an accredited University/College MFT applicants must have prior hospital experience. Working knowledge of the laws, regulations, policies and appeal procedures as relative to the Federal, State and other reimbursement programs. Must be able to display good working relationships with patients, families, medical and nursing personnel, and all others employed at the hospital.

Required Certification/Registration: BLS for Healthcare Provider American Heart Association.

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification: LCSW or LMFT (Licensed by the State of CA Behavioral Science Examiners Board). Experience in the hospital setting preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including but not limited to Outlook, Excel, Epic, ECIN. An ability to speak another language is desirable.

Position Pay Range: $42.51-$61.62/hour

Please also note this range is applicable for employees who reside in California only. A geographical pay differential may be applied for remote employees who reside out of state.
