Job Description
This is a full time position with varied shifts located at Scripps Green Hospital.
Responsible for performing basic pharmacy technician duties. Works under the supervision of registered pharmacists. May assist with mentoring pharmacy technician I as assigned. Performs more advanced pharmacy technician duties that may include billing, prioritizing/overseeing the workflow of the main pharmacy, assisting tech specialists, performing unit inspections, sealing/locking emergency trays or carts, and checking the work of other technicians (tech-check-tech). May assist pharmacy management with administrative support duties
Required Certification/Registration: Current California Pharmacy Technician License. Certification by a National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (CPhT) required within 6 months of hire. Minimum of years 6 months’ experience in current practice environment or in sterile compounding and 2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician in any practice setting.
Required Education/Course(s)/Training: 2 years’ experience in relevant practice area is preferred
