We’re home to notable specialty programs including a 24-hour emergency room, accredited stroke care, physical rehabilitation services (including a brain injury day treatment program), our Baby Friendly birthing pavilion and a Level II neonatal intensive care unit.

RN DOU / Tele / PCU

Full-Time | 12-Hour Night Shift

Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas

Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas has proudly served the coastal communities of North County since 1978. Opened in 2026, the DOU is a 36-bed, all-private room unit that provides a blended level of care for telemetry and stepdown patients. The unit specializes in caring for cardiac, pulmonary, and medical telemetry patients, as well as patients requiring stepdown-level care. In this compassionate and welcoming environment, our highly engaged nurses deliver exceptional care with the support of strong teamwork and leadership. Focused on quality outcomes and an outstanding patient experience, this unit is ideal for nurses committed to excellence. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of telemetry experience.

 

We invite you to join our team of Registered Nurses, who are responsible for delivering direct patient care within the scope of their practice. Responsibilities include assessment, care planning, implementation of the plan of care, and evaluation of patient progress toward expected outcomes. Guided by a commitment to quality, patient- and family-centered care, the RN assumes primary responsibility for coordinating care delivered by the Care Team under their supervision. In collaboration with other members of the patient care team, the RN helps ensure the best possible outcomes for every patient.

 

This is a Full Time (72 hours per pay period), 12-Hour Night Shift, position located at Scripps Memorial Encinitas. 

This is not a Med Surg Unit.

.Required Qualifications: 
•    Current CA RN License
•    One (1) year of recent RN telemetry experience in an acute care hospital setting 
•    Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS Certification
•    Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English
•    Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors

 

Preferred Qualifications: 
•    Stepdown Experience 
•    Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider ACLS Certification
•    NIHSS Certification 
•    Bachelor’s degree in Nursing

Position Pay Range: $59.16-$85.68/hour

Please also note this range is applicable for employees who reside in California only. A geographical pay differential may be applied for remote employees who reside out of state.
