This is a Varied shift position floating to our Scripps Health Campuses: Scripps Mercy Chula Vista and San Diego; Scripps La Jolla; Scripps Green; and Scripps Encinitas.

About the role:
Under the direction of the registered nurse, the Certified Hemodialysis Technician provides specialized care to hospitalized patients with acute and chronic kidney disease who require dialysis therapy. This role supports the delivery of safe, evidence-based dialysis treatments, reinforces patient and family education related to disease management, assists in precepting other technicians, and performs additional duties as assigned. The technician practices in accordance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and the standards defined by the Respective State Certification Governance. This position requires scheduling flexibility and the ability to travel to all assigned sites as needed.

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

High School Diploma or GED

Min 1 year of clinical experience in the hemodialysis setting
Required Certification/Registration:
-
Successful completion of all State of California certification (CHT) requirements

American Heart Association BLS certification
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
-
Hemodialysis in the hospital setting.

CCHT (national certification)
