Job Description
This is a benefited, full time position generally working Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm. Hours will vary as needed. Located at the Shiley Pavilion in Torrey Pines.

What you’ll do:
- Along with performing as a staff Medical Assistant, the Clinical Lead (MA) is responsible for providing technical support to Medical Assistant staff in a clinic site or physician module to include training, assurance of consistency and standardization of procedures, management of day-to-day staff coverage arrangements to ensure excellent patient care, staff performance management, and to serve as a mentor to staff.
- The Clinical Lead is responsible for covering multiple positions and departments, as well as mentoring new and existing staff on clinical processes and procedures.
- This position will be responsible for review of new and existing staff documentation and charge documents for completion and accuracy.
- The individual will practice within the scope of a Medical Assistant and contribute to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care.
Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
- Certified Medical Assistant or Military Corpsman, plus two years applicable clinical experience.
- Requires excellent skills in communication, problem-solving, team development, planning and follow-through.
- Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility for assigned services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of patient care.
Required Certification/Registration:
- Completion of a formal Medical Assistant program or Military Corpsman program pursuant to the Division of Allied Health Professions
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required in clinical setting.
