Scripps Mercy Hospital Chula Vista provides a variety of medical and surgical services, including inpatient and outpatient care. Within the hospital you’ll find our 24-hour emergency room and many other specialty services ranging from cancer care to stroke care.

This is a Full Time, 12 Hour Night Shift, a position benefits eligible, located at Scripps Mercy Chula Vista campus.

Responsibilities include:
Providing direct patient care within the scope of your practice.
Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care, and evaluating patients’ progress towards expected outcomes.
With quality patient and family-centered care in mind, the RN takes primary responsibility for the patients’ care as delivered by the Care Team under their supervision.
Work collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.
New Hire and Relocation Incentive eligible up to $7K , including relocation.

- Rehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago
In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met:
- Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
- Must remain in original department/specialty
- Must remain in original Job Title
- Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining
Required Qualifications:
• Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current CA RN License
• Current BLS through American Heart Association
• One (1) year of recent RN experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 6 months of experience in Acute Care Med Surg/Tele/PCU/Stepdown RN
• NIHSS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days from hire
