This is a per-diem position teaching community classes at Shiley Fitness Center on Torrey Pines Road in La Jolla.

As an exercise instructor you will:
- teach safe, enjoyable exercise classes (water/land) to all levels following established fitness industry guidelines.
- You will also be responsible for tailoring classes to individual’s needs, maintain attendance records, stereo/aerobic/aquatic equipment.
- Assist in program promotions, marketing and education of members and staff.

Follow exercise guidelines established by ACSM, ACE, IFPA, NASM, NCSF, NESTA

Required:
- 1 year experience working in the capacity as an individual or group exercise instructor.
- American Heart Association BLS
- an approved Personal Training, Group Fitness Instructor certification, or other formal training in area of expertise.
Preferred :
- Degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Fitness, or related field.
