Job Description
This position is full time with evening shifts. Hours are primarily 2:30pm-11pm, but may adjust depending on needs. Weekend schedule is once every 4 weeks. Includes $4,000 retention and $4,500 relocation incentives for eligible new hires. Eligible to participate in the Management Incentive Compensation Plan.

The Laboratory Supervisor will:
- Oversee all personnel on evening and night shifts (Clinical Lab Scientists, Medical Laboratory Technicians, Certified Phlebotomy Technicians and Pathology Assistants)
- Oversee all technical aspects of Microbiology
- Manage performance evaluations, provide direct one-on-one coaching and training for new hires
- Lead process improvements
- Serve as the lab liaison for physicians and nurses
- Bench coverage as needed

- Rehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago
- Candidates with less than 1 year of experience
In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met:
- Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
- Must remain in original department/specialty
- Must remain in original Job Title
- Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree plus 5 Years experience in lab services
- 1.5 years as a Clinical Lab Scientist
- California CLS (MTA) license
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
- Inpatient experience as a generalist Clinical Lab Scientist
- Supervisor experience
- 2 years of experience as a Clinical Lab Scientist
