We’re home to notable specialty programs including a 24-hour emergency room, accredited stroke care, physical rehabilitation services (including a brain injury day treatment program), our Baby Friendly birthing pavilion and a Level II neonatal intensive care unit.

We offer a full range of clinical and surgical services, including North County’s first Primary Stroke Center, a regionally recognized brain injury program, state-of-the-art imaging center, 24-hour emergency room care and award-winning OB-GYN, maternal health and infant health services.
Join our Scripps Encinitas team of Emergency Services. As an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech), you will support emergency department or urgent care by performing basic emergency medical procedures as directed under supervision, assists nurses and physicians in the performance of their functions.
Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
- Certified CA state issued EMT (EMT, AEMT or Paramedic) or CNA
- BLS Healthcare Provider Certifications through American Heart Association
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
· 2 years EMT experience
· One (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting
· Experience in emergency services
· EMT certification
