Scripps Mercy Hospital consists of two campuses in San Diego and Chula Vista.
Scripps Mercy Hospital Chula Vista provides a variety of medical and surgical services, including inpatient and outpatient care. Within the hospital you’ll find our 24-hour emergency room and many other specialty services ranging from cancer care to stroke care.
Job Description
This is a casual (per diem) position with varied 8-hour shifts. The role primarily provides coverage for vacations, leaves of absence (LOAs), and sick calls. A minimum availability of four days per month is required, with at least two of those days falling on weekends. Additionally, the position requires one on-call shift per month. This position is located at Scripps Mercy Hospital in Chula Vista.

Our highly skilled Ultrasonography department thrives in an environment that is family-oriented and where everyone is ready to jump in and help each other succeed. The ideal candidate will leverage their strong interpersonal skills to deliver excellent patient focused care.
Required Qualifications:
- One of the following is required: 1) Associate of Science Degree Certification in Ultrasound in a school that is accredit. 2) Successful completion of a formal educational program in an AMA approved school of ultrasound with a minimum of 500 hours of clinical in the specialty required. 3) Registered in the specialty that you are applied for by ARDMS or the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) with at least 1 year of full-time experience required ARDMS or CCI
- BLS from the American Heart Association
- ARDMS or CCI
- Vascular and General Sonographer experience
- 2 years’ experience in an acute care setting
