Job Description
This is a Full-Time position (80 hours per pay period) with a Monday – Friday day shift schedule supporting services that operate out of Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego in Hillcrest. Join a connected Acute Care Support Services team at Scripps Health as a Physician Resources Coordinator. This position provides support and assists with all activities related to Physician Resources, physician and physician extender planning, recruiting, credentialing, orientation, special projects and professional standards review. Primary duties will include administrative tasks such as census reports, patient assignments, and scheduling.
Required Qualifications:
- One year of experience in areas of physician recruitment/staffing, credentialing, human resource/benefits, medical staff office, medical group administrative office.
- Strong organizational focus.
- Knowledge of clinic operations and payroll activities.
- Requires flexibility in dealing with multiple assignments and work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. Ability to interact professionally and effectively with and gain confidence of physicians and other practitioners. Excellent interpersonal, communication, decision-making, and organizational skills. Strong writing skills needed to help develop letters, reports, etc.
- Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team.
- Solid intermediate or higher computer skill level including the creation of spreadsheets, database information input and maintenance. Established proficiency with multiple software programs which may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred (appropriate experience can be substituted for education).
