Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas’ campus includes Scripps Clinic Encinitas and an outpatient imaging center. We’re home to notable specialty programs including a 24-hour emergency room, accredited stroke care, physical rehabilitation services (including a brain injury day treatment program), our Baby Friendly birthing pavilion and a Level II neonatal intensive care unit.

Job Description

This is a part-time (40 hours every two weeks) fully benefitted position located at our Scripps Memorial campus in Encinitas.  Flexibility to work weekends is required.

Our Clinical Nutrition team provides medical nutrition therapy and nutrition care to all patients utilizing technical skills in an acute care, skilled nursing, and or outpatient setting. Skills include clinical assessment, screening for nutritional risk, developing, implementing, and monitoring a nutrition care plan, education, and follow up. Provides service to patients of all ages from pediatrics to geriatrics. Compliance to Joint Commission Standards, Title XXII, and other applicable regulatory requirements. Demonstrates ability to provide appropriate age specific patient care as established for environment and job title.

Required Qualifications:

  •  Bachelors degree or Masters Degree
  •  Registered Dietitian through the Commission of Dietetic Registration

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One of the following specialty certifications preferred Certified Nutrition Support Clinician CNSC, Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist CDCES Board Certified Specialist in Renal Nutrition CSR, Board Certified Specialist in Oncology Nutrition CSO, Board Certified Specialist in Gerontological Nutrition CSG

Position Pay Range: $39.01-$56.67/hour

Please note that actual pay will be determined based on relevant experience and internal equity within the pay range. Please also note this range is applicable for employees who reside in California only. A geographical pay differential may be applied for remote employees who reside out of state.
