Scripps Green Hospital is attached to Scripps Clinic Torrey Pines. Together we offer dozens of medical and surgical services, including cancer care, orthopedic surgery and organ transplantation.
Job Description
This is a benefited, full time position generally working Monday-Friday from 2:30-11pm. No weekends. Located at Scripps Green Hospital in Torrey Pines (La Jolla).

About Scripps Green Hospital:
Scripps Green is a 173-bed hospital that has served the La Jolla and greater San Diego communities with distinction since 1977. Scripps Green has been recognized for outstanding care and a number of important medical milestones, including establishing the first liver transplant program in San Diego and being the nation’s first hospital to use stem cell transplants as a treatment for blood and marrow disorders.
What you’ll do:
- Be responsible for the cleaning, packaging, sterilization, storage, and distribution of medical instruments, equipment, and supplies used for patient care.
Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
- Completion of college training program for SPD or online study program or completion of formal on the job training program.
- Knowledge of sterilizers, surgical instrumentation, and medical equipment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or CBSPD Certification.
- One year of experience in SPD in lieu of certification acceptable upon hire, OR hired into Scripps Sterile Processing Tech Transition Program, but CRCST or CBSPD Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
