As an Informatics Nurse, you will:
- Critical thinking to support problem solving in workflow analysis related to people, processes, and technology.
- Utilize operations and/or clinical knowledge to consult with the business to identify workflow, data and application requirements.
- Work with integrated development resources to generate documentation and facilitate solution designs, ensuring solution meets customer needs.
- Coordinate and facilitate end user and project team efforts in the design, content development, implementation, and evaluation of technical solutions.
- Facilitate identification of best practices and makes recommendations for standardization.
- Advocate and assist with change management.
- Collaborate with operational leaders to translate, influence, and guide change for workflow optimization.
- Assist in establishing education strategies for staff and physicians.
- Build and maintain clinical applications.
“Your employment is contingent on maintaining/obtaining Epic certification(s) related to your role. All classes, projects, testing, and certification must be completed within 60 days of the final class or within six months from Hire Date, whichever is sooner. Scheduling of timely training should occur.”
Required:
- Two years of nursing experience, ideally in an acute care setting.
- Good critical and analytical thinking and excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and presentation skills
Required Certification:
- Current CA RN license.
- Epic certification specific to applications supported
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Informatics certification.
- Project management experience.
- Epic experience or certification.
