Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas has served North County’s coastal communities since 1978. We’re located at Santa Fe Drive and I-5, within walking distance of a park, fitness center, grocery store, pharmacy and restaurants.
Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas’ campus includes Scripps Clinic Encinitas and an outpatient imaging center. We’re home to notable specialty programs including a 24-hour emergency room, accredited stroke care, physical rehabilitation services (including a brain injury day treatment program), our Baby Friendly birthing pavilion and a Level II neonatal intensive care unit.
Job Description
This is a full-time, benefitted 12 hour Night shift position (6:00pm-6:30am) with 72 hours per 2 week pay period. It includes rotating weekends every other weekend. It is located at Scripps Memorial Encinitas.
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates actions for respiratory care
- Performs all technical diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to respiratory care and other core responsibilities necessary to maintain the flow of patient care and comfort in the unit
- Responds to critical situations
- Utilizes computer systems in performing position duties
- Adheres to Hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Participates in Quality Control, preventative maintenance, and performance improvement activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Current California RCP license
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Enjoys working with the public.
- Must be able to speak, read, and follow instructions in English.
- Technically competent in the department skills inventory. Computer literate.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prefer one or more years acute care experience.
- Graduate of one or two year AMA School of Respiratory Care preferred.
- NICU level 2 experience strongly preferred
