Scripps Mercy Hospital consists of two campuses in San Diego and Chula Vista. 

Scripps Mercy Hospital Chula Vista provides a variety of medical and surgical services, including inpatient and outpatient care. Within the hospital you’ll find our 24-hour emergency room and many other specialty services ranging from cancer care to stroke care.

This position is eligible for New Hires and Relocation Incentives up to $7k. More details below! 

This is a benefited, full time position working 12-hr night shifts generally from 7pm-7:30am. Located at Scripps Mercy San Diego campus in the community of Hillcrest.

Join the Med/Surg Overflow 9th Floor where you will provide direct patient care within the scope of your practice. Patient care includes assessment, planning, and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients’ progress towards expected outcomes. You will take primary responsibility for the patients’ care as delivered by the Care Team under your supervision and work collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

·         In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met:

·         Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)

·         Must remain in original department/specialty

·         Must remain in original Job Title

·         Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.

Qualifications – External

Required Qualifications:

  • One (1) year of RN experience
  • Current CA Registered Nurse License
  • Current BLS from the American Heart Association
  • Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing
  • Medical Surgical RN experience

Position Pay Range: $58.00-$84.00/hour

In compliance with the California Pay Transparency Act, Scripps Health posts the pay range for all jobs. Please note that actual pay will be determined based on relevant experience and internal equity within the pay range. Please also note this range is applicable for employees who reside in California only. A geographical pay differential may be applied for remote employees who reside out of state.
