Job Description
This is a Casual Status also known as Per diem position. The minimum availability is 3 shifts every 4 weeks, but there could be more hours to offer if interested. This role may also float to our other ambulatory clinics (Jefferson- Oceanside, Rancho Bernardo, and Ximed – La Jolla). The training is flexible however 6 shifts are needed within the first 2 weeks of being on the floor.

Scripps Clinic in Carmel Valley provides expert specialty and primary care services for the whole family. This is one of our newer (and larger) clinics, right off highway 56. Join a winning team supporting our PreOp- PACU Department as a Specialized Services RN at our Scripps Clinic Carmel Valley. Working together, you’ll bring your expertise, compassion and excellence to all we do. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy providing world class customer service. As a Specialized Services RN, you will perform patient assessments and care tasks including medication administration as appropriate. Additionally, you will educate patients and document patient interactions, practice infection control, and contribute to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care within own scope of practice.
Qualifications – External
- Current California RN License
- Completion of accredited RN program
- Minimum 1 year RN experience
- Current American Heart Associate Healthcare Provider BLS certificate and ACLS certificate.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Epic Experience
- Critical Care Experience
- Prefer 2 years of RN experience in outpatient Pre-Op/PACU/ED/ICU/Procedural areas (cath lab, interventional radiology)
- BSN
