Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas’ campus includes Scripps Clinic Encinitas and an outpatient imaging center. We’re home to notable specialty programs including a 24-hour emergency room, accredited stroke care, physical rehabilitation services (including a brain injury day treatment program), our Baby Friendly birthing pavilion and a Level II neonatal intensive care unit.
Job Description
This is a Part Time position consisting of 48 hours per 2 week pay period. The shifts are 12 hours and variable start times 0700-1930, 0800-2030, 8030-2100, 0900-2130, 0930-2200, 1000-2230, 1100-2330. Additional availability includes: 2-3 weekday call/ month (2300-0700) and 2-3 weekend call/month (0700-1930 or 0900-2130 or 1900-0700). The training for this position will be Full Time.

Responsibilities include:
- · Providing direct patient care within the scope of your practice.
- · Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care, and evaluating patients’ progress towards expected outcomes.
- · With quality patient and family-centered care in mind, the RN takes primary responsibility for the patients’ care as delivered by the Care Team under their supervision.
- · Work collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care
Required:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an RN in an acute PACU department or ICU
- Current CA RN License.
- Current BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
- Preop Experience
- prefer 2 years PACU or ICU experience
