Job Description
Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas has served the growing communities of San Diego’s coastal North County since 1978. The site-based float pool (SBFP) floats to ICU/PCU at Scripps Memorial Encinitas.
We invite you to join our team of Registered Nurses responsible for providing direct care within the scope of your practice. Patient care includes assessment, planning, and implementing a plan of care and evaluation of the patients’ progress towards expected outcomes. With quality patient and family-centered care in mind, the RN takes primary responsibility for the patients’ care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her supervision. You will work collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

Although you will not have a home base, you will still feel like you are part of the community at Scripps Memorial Encinitas where you get to engage and experience a wide variety of patients. Seeing how different floors works while still feeling part of the team is one of the many benefits of joining our close-knit Site Based Float Pool at Scripps Memorial Encinitas.
This is a Full Time 12-hour Days, Site Base Float Pool position located at Scripps Memorial Encinitas.
This position is eligible for New Hire Incentives of $7k
The following are not eligible for hiring incentives:
· Internal candidates
· Rehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago
In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met:
· Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
· Must remain in original department/specialty
· Must remain in original Job Title
· Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted.

Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- One (1) year of RN experience.
- Current CA RN License
- Current BLS and ACLS Healthcare Provider through American Heart Association
- Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSN
- One year of acute RN experience
- Telemetry or Progressive Care experience
- Other Certifications: CMSRN, NIHHS Stroke Certification
- Epic EHR working experience
