Job Description
This is a benefited, exempt, full time position generally working Monday-Friday from 7:30am-4pm. Hours will vary as needed. Infrequent availability for overnight sleep tech needs/scheduling issues. Located at Scripps Clinic Torrey Pines but may travel to other sites as needed.

What you’ll do:
- Manages daily staffing for assigned clinic operations including Medical Assistants, Registered Nurses, Patient Services Representatives, and Polysomnographic Technicians.
- 24 hour staffing on site and the ability to effectively manage complex schedules is essential.
- Ability to lead a team consisting of licensed and unlicensed staff, ability to work efficiently in a changing environment and assist in maintaining accreditation status for the Sleep Department.
- Ensures nursing practice reflects established standards of care and practice and a culture that promotes patient safety.
- Under the general direction of the Manager/Director, shares leadership responsibilities for the nursing staff, including managing daily staffing plans.
- Responsible for managing and maintaining schedules for optimal efficiency.
- Works in partnership with Management and Physicians to ensure quality and efficiency in the management of patient care.
- Management and development of clinical staff.
- Contributes to operations management of assigned business unit(s).
- Participates in budget planning and management. Takes proactive initiative in quality management.

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
- Associates degree plus two years applicable clinical experience.
- Requires excellent skills in communication, problem-solving, team development, planning and follow-through.
- Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility for assigned services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of patient care.
- Graduate of an accredited program.
Required Certification/Registration:
- Maintains current California RN license.
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required in clinical setting and all competencies/certifications required for the highest level RN under their direction.
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
- BSN and/or certification in area of specialty preferred if applicable.
- 5+ years RN experience.
- 2 years of leadership experience.
- Epic experience.
- Clinic/outpatient experience.
