The Strategic Sourcing Analyst will be responsible for maintaining the contracting portfolios for multiple Surgical Procedural Service departments with a focus on Neuro/Spine, Trauma, Orthopedics, and other clinical areas as assigned across the system for individual or global projects and initiatives. This individual will, with “evidence-based facts and data”, serve as the backbone of the sourcing process and function as the primary negotiator and contact in support of such contracting activities. This individual will play a crucial role in providing decision-support information to key stakeholders including Category Managers, entity clinicians, carelines and leaders by researching, analyzing, and presenting data/information that captures all relevant aspects and contributing factors needed for contracting decision making and implementation. Ability to deploy critical thinking and logic to solve difficult problems, identifying trends and utilization to assist the clinical stakeholders to make well-informed, quality decisions in a timely manner as it relates to the category of spend. This position will require strong organizational skills to manage multiple priority projects and tasks at a time. This position will require the ideal candidate to have the flexibility to pivot to projects and priorities depending on the demand and drive strategy for favorable outcomes. The ideal candidate with lead with strong ethics and a passion to help others. This individual must possess effective and professional communication skills, both verbal and written, in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Negotiate contracts and coordinate supplier integration plans with internal stakeholders specifically for procedural surgical services.
- Maintains supplier relationship management processes and implements continuous improvement goals and cost savings initiatives.
- Monitors market dynamics that impact materials/services availability and/or pricing.
- Partners with internal clients to identify sourcing needs, develop buyer/market profiles, identify marketplace trends, savings opportunities, and define acceptable service levels.
- Generates impact analysis reports containing cost and utilization information and assists clinician and key stakeholders in making well-informed and quality decisions.
- Maintains contract system and full portfolio to include GPO contracts and data integrity while following identified standard work.
- Manage all product conversion projects related to contracting activities in support of the carelines.
- Integrate across multiple disciplinary departments to facilitate contracting initiatives which may include Biomedical services, Facilities and Engineering, Information Services, and site Supply Chain Logistics support.
- Manage RFP and savings initiatives projects.
- Troubleshoot and reconcile price file and invoice issues.
- Edit contractual content utilizing red lining skills.

Requirements
Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
- High School Diploma.
- Minimum of four (4) years of either financial analysis decision support, and/or supply/services spend analysis experience.
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Healthcare contracting experience or clinical support role/knowledge.
- Proven data analytical and contract negotiating experience.
- Savings initiative or budgetary management experience.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Experience reviewing and redlining Terms and Conditions within contractual documents.
- Medical supplies, implants, equipment, and services contracting experience.
- Possess an understanding of supply chain data management and contract financial reporting.
- Experience with supply chain logistical models, inventory, shipping and receiving, and accounts payable invoice/purchase order reconciliation.
- Project management experience.
- Equipment planning experience.
- Strong Excel experience with spreadsheet manipulation and presentation skills, to include pivot tables, V and X Lookup functionality.
