This is a benefited, part time position (48 hours every 2 weeks) working 3 days/week generally from 8am-5pm. Hours will vary as needed. You will float between Scripps Clinic Mission Valley and Scripps Clinic Encinitas (off Santa Fe Drive), as well as other clinics as need.

What you’ll do:
This is a Medical Assistant/Patient Service Representative Hybrid role where you will be responsible for both front and back office duties. Rooming patients. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Checking vitals
- Assisting with procedures
- Registration, scheduling, work queue management
- Clinic prep assisting with Provider specific protocols
- Predominantly back-office responsibilities but is expected to help with front-office duties on an as-needed basis
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment
- Organizes and performs patient care services that support the provider’s practice
- Relaying instructions from the provider to the patient or authorized person
- Collecting patient data in person and by phone
- Documenting patient concerns, messages and care provided in the electronic medical record for the physician’s review
- Administering medications specifically directed by the provider
- Scheduling of appointments and procedures
- Complete and accurate message taking
- Routing messages to the appropriate area for direction
- Order and referral entry
- Acquisition of pre-certifications
- Setting up of cases in EPIC
- Other duties assigned as needed
$23.92-$30.83/hour
