Scripps Mercy Hospital has served central and downtown San Diego since 1890 and is the oldest medical center in the county. The San Diego campus is located near the corner of 5th Avenue and Washington Street in Hillcrest.
Scripps Mercy Hospital consists of two campuses in San Diego and Chula Vista.
Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego’s campus includes the O’Toole Breast Care Center, a 24-hour emergency room that is a Level I Trauma Center, outpatient physical rehabilitation, minimally invasive robotic surgery and our childbirth unit (including a Level II neonatal intensive care unit).

The 340B Drug Pricing Program at Scripps Mercy Hospital allows us to purchase outpatient drugs at a reduced price, allowing us to stretch scarce federal resources as far as possible, reaching more eligible patients and providing more comprehensive services. With the growth of our program, we are looking for a Pharmacy 340B Program Specialist to join the team.
As a Supervisor, 340B Program, you will;

Be responsible for the oversight and leadership of the activities and functions of a department.

Lead or participate in department strategic planning and contribute to its success through effectively communicating goals and expectations to staff.

Ensure effective use of system resources.
-
Provide functional expertise essential to staff and leadership.

Ensure expenses do not exceed budget.

Participate in standards of practice and process improvement activities.
-
Oversee staffing matrices and possesse authority to hire, conduct performance evaluations, and discipline employees.

Ensure policy and procedures are followed by staff.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in health sciences or equivalent experience in healthcare with 3 or more years as 340B analyst, auditor, or supervisor.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of project management, process redesign, and/or continuous quality improvement related methodology and tools.
- Experience in leading and facilitating work teams.
- Is a systems thinker with strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency in presentation, word processing, and data software programs.
- Strong skills in group facilitation and presentations with groups ranging in size from 10-100.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple details.
- Strong skills in developing and maintaining positive interpersonal relationships.

Able to represent Scripps with internal and external customers in a professional manner.
