Job Description

This is a Full-Time (64 hours per pay period) position working 4 8-hour shifts during the week. Position does not require weekends or holidays.

Located at Scripps Green Hospital in Torrey Pines, La Jolla.

We invite you to join our highly collaborative team of Clinical Risk Specialists who take a multidisciplinary approach to our patient care working alongside our case managers, inpatient managers, and physicians.

As a Clinical Risk Specialist RN you will be responsible for facilitating, coordinating, and promoting risk and compliance-related projects, and research projects to ensure patient safety and facility compliance with regulatory agencies. In addition,

  • Oversight for FDA MedSun reporting, occurrence report follow-up and patient relations interface and resolution.

  • Additional duties may include assisting with HIPAA and compliance activities.

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:

  • BSN preferred.

  • Experience with Scripps’ management system and/or lean management preferred.

  • Experience in quality/risk management/regulatory in a healthcare setting preferred.

  • Experience with data analysis preferred.

  • CPHQ preferred.

  • CPHRM preferred.

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

  • 5 years of acute care and regulatory experience and data collection and risk management experience.

  • Must have experience with adult education, basic statistics and project management.

  • Orientation to root cause analysis is helpful.
     

        Required Certification/Registration:

  • Current CA RN license

Position Pay Range: $59.81-$86.71/hour

In compliance with the California Pay Transparency Act, Scripps Health posts the pay range for all jobs. Please note that actual pay will be determined based on relevant experience and internal equity within the pay range. Please also note this range is applicable for employees who reside in California only. A geographical pay differential may be applied for remote employees who reside out of state.
