Job Description

As a Care Team Assistant, you will work under the direction of an RN and Surgical Technologist to assist with the care of perioperative patients and OR room preparation activities such as;
- Assisting with OR bed set ups.
- Assisting with equipment and supplies.
- Housekeeping duties to turn over rooms between cases.
- Assisting in positioning patients for procedures.
- Assisting in transporting patients.
- Assisting with transporting labs/specimens.
- Providing excellent service to patients as a key member of the clinical care team.
- Assisting patients with personal needs and activities of daily living, collect data, and ensure the patient has a safe, organized environment.
- Assisting with patient care within the scope permitted and under the direction of a clinician.
- Supporting the unit with a variety of patient logistic, clerical, equipment/supply, and charge reconciliation duties.
Required:
- Must be able to speak, read and follow instruction in English.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care provider
Preferred::
- Multiple patient care skills preferred.
- Prefer one year experience in health care related field, sterile processing, patient transport or equivalent responsibilities.
