We are seeking a compassionate, motivated Social Worker to join our Case Management team at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas. Our vibrant team is dedicated to serving the community with the highest quality of patient care.
· Provide peer supervision for other staff, education for social work interns and/or assist with program planning and organization of services.
· Provide coverage for the ED and Med/Surg floors
· Demonstrate ability to perform competencies as outlined in unit specific competency assessment tools. Demonstrates age specific care as established for a Clinical Social Worker in assigned area.
Required Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited University/College OR Masters in Family Therapy (MFT)
- MFT applicants must have prior hospital experience
- BLS for Healthcare Provider American Heart Association
- Working knowledge of the laws, regulations, policies and appeal procedures as relative to the Federal, State and other reimbursement programs
- Must be able to display good working relationships with patients, families, medical and nursing personnel, and all others employed at the hospital
Preferred Qualifications:
- Acute Care Hospital experience
- LCSW (Licensed by the State of CA Behavioral Science Examiners Board)
- Familiar with different levels of care (e.g., Home Health, SNF)
- Knowledgeable about LPS/AB2275 processes
