The RN Manager of the Staffing and Site Based Float Pool over Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla and Scripps Green Hospital is the ideal position for someone who enjoys a fast-paced, busy atmosphere and appreciates the lean processes that the leaders and care teams are striving towards.

As the RN Manager of Staffing, you will develop, implement and monitor the business plan for site-based float pools ensuring a 95% fill rate.  You will be charged with developing innovative staffing recruitment and retention strategies, with the goal of retaining experienced staff to cover the fluctuating staffing needs of assigned campuses.

Additionally, you will work effectively with physicians, staff and management team within the staffing office, hospital and system. Be responsible for conducting effective staff meetings. Ensure ongoing awareness of strategic goals and objectives.  Play an integral role in collaborating with other nursing and ancillary managers to ensure consistent interpretation and implementation of policies and procedures, and ensuring appropriate patient flow, staffing, scheduling and throughput.

Required Qualifications:

•    Bachelor’s Degree in nursing.
•    5 years of RN experience in an acute care setting.
•    Previous experience managing large group of diverse, flexible staff. 
•    Maintains current licensure as a RN in California.
•    Current AHA BLS Card.

Preferred Qualifications:

•    Masters Degree in Nursing, Business, or other related field.
•    2 years previous department, float pool, or registry travel management.
•    Epic working experience highly preferred.

 

Position Pay Range: $70.08-$101.80/hour

Please also note this range is applicable for employees who reside in California only. A geographical pay differential may be applied for remote employees who reside out of state.
