Surgical Technologist - Float Pool - no call, weekends or holiday requirement
Scripps Float Pool Surgical Techs will float across the Scripps La Jolla, Green, Rancho Bernardo, Carmel Valley and Torrey Pines locations where you will experience, general to cutting edge surgeries involving high tech equipment, robotics, and image guidance systems in our Main ORs and Ambulatory Surgery Centers.
 
You will ensure OR rooms are ready for surgery, including all case-specific supplies and equipment are sterile and ready for use.  You will monitors sterile fields throughout procedure, scrubs for cases, anticipate the needs of the physician and operating team and perform other duties as assigned.  
 
Float Pool Surgical Techs are rewarded for floating by selecting 8, 10 or 12 hour shifts, with no call, weekends or holiday requirement.  Name your schedule!

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications
  • One (1 ) year of recent experience as a Surgical Technologist
  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist training program
  • Current BLS from the American Heart Association
  • Excellent communication skills. Basic computer skills.  Able to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced team environment. Preferred Qualifications
Preferred:
  • Two (2) years’ experience in the OR
  • CST Certification
  • Trauma experience
