RN Supervisor, Staffing - Encinitas

Join our team as the RN Supervisor of Staffing where you will ensure nursing practice reflects established standards of care and practice and a culture that promotes patient safety. Under the general direction of the Director of Patient Care, you will share leadership responsibilities for the site based float pool department, including managing daily staffing plans to support multiple units for the hospital. Participates in the hiring process for new staff, including orientation to the department and responsible for ensuring on-going learning requirements are met. You will provide conduct introductory and annual performance evaluations for assigned staff and any performance management areas.
This is a Full-time, 8 hour shift with varying start times (covers both DAY and NIGHT shifts (i.e. 5A – 1P or 1P to 9P, etc.).

Job Requirements

  • Two (2) years applicable clinical RN acute care experience
  • Prior leadership experience (i.e. RN Lead, Charge or Supervisor)
  • Current California RN license
  • Current BLS from the American Heart Association  
  • Self-driven, approachable and maintains a professional attitude with the ability to engage and encourage staff
  • Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility for assigned services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of patient care
  • MSN, Masters Degree in Nursing
  • Two years prior Supervisor experience
