Scripps Clinic’s John R. Anderson V Medical Pavilion provides a “one-stop” health-care experience for people in the greater San Diego region. Located just off I-5 and Genesee Avenue, the pavilion is on the campus of Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla where we offer many of the services our patient need under one roof.
Join our highly skilled and engaged team as a Supervisor, Clinic Operations - RN – Medicine Specialty where you’ll bring your expertise, compassion and excellence to all we do. As Supervisor, Clinic Operations RN, you will manage daily staffing for clinic operations. You will ensure nursing practice reflects established standards of care and practice and a culture that promotes patient safety. Under the general direction of the Manager/Director, you will share leadership responsibilities for the nursing staff, including managing daily staffing plans.
Additionally, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining schedules for optimal efficiency. Play an integral role in working in partnership with Management and Physicians to ensure quality and efficiency in the management of patient care. You will provide management and development of clinical staff. Contribute to operations management of assigned business unit(s). Participate in budget planning and management and take proactive initiative in quality management.
This is a Full Time, 8 hr shift Supervisor position located in La Jolla.


Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • Associates degree plus two years applicable clinical experience.
  • Requires excellent skills in communication, problem-solving, team development, planning and follow-through.
  • Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility for assigned services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of patient care.
  • Graduate of an accredited program.
Required Certification/Registration:
  • Maintains current California RN license.
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare BLS.
  • Competencies/certifications required for the highest level RN under their direction.
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
  • BSN and/or certification in area of specialty preferred if applicable.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Outpatient RN experience highly preferred.
  • Current American Health Association Healthcare ACLS.
  • EPIC experience preferred.
