Scripps Green is a 173-bed hospital that has served the La Jolla and greater San Diego communities with distinction since 1977.  Conveniently located off I-5 near the Genesee Avenue exit, our healthcare professionals care for people from a number of communities including Bird Rock, La Jolla Shores, Mount Soledad, University City and beyond. Scripps Green offers a wide range of clinical and surgical services, including organ transplantation, oncology care, cardiothoracic and orthopedic surgery, interventional cardiology and blood and bone marrow transplant.
 
As Supervisor, Social Work Services, you will oversee the psychosocial evaluation/consultation/referral and triage of patients. Be the face of Social Work Services at Green and positively impact the lives of our patients.  In this working Supervisor role, you will ensure timely and effective discharge planning for patients on own caseload, as well as caseload of other members of the social work team.
 
Additionally, you will provide clinical direction, training and consultation for individual and group therapy for social workers for Scripps Green Hospital.
 
This is a Full Time (80 Hours per pay period) Non-Exempt Supervisor position located at Scripps Green Hospital.  Absence call coverage is required. 

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • Master's degree in Social Work; must meet the requirements for clinical supervision of social work staff (LCSW).
  • Three early working experience as a Social Worker required.

Required Certification/Registration:
  • California LCSW.

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
 
  • Discharge planning experience in an acute care facility highly preferred.
  • One year leadership experience preferred.
  • EPIC working experience referred.
  • Knowledge of Insurance, Medi-Care, Medi-Cal Programs.
