Scripps Clinic in Encinitas has been providing North County families with exceptional medical care for more than 40 years. Conveniently located off the 5 freeway at the Santa Fe Drive exit, our doctors provide care to a number of communities, including Cardiff-by-the-Sea, Carlsbad, Encinitas, Leucadia and Olivenhain. On-site specialty care including allergy, cardiology, dermatology, gastroenterology, general surgery, head and neck surgery, hematology and oncology, orthopedic surgery, nephrology, neurology, obstetrics and gynecology (Scripps Clinic patients deliver at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla), ophthalmology and optometry, pain management, podiatry, rheumatology, urology and more.
 
Join our team as a Supervisor of our Family Practice department. Under the general direction of the Manager/Director, you will share leadership responsibilities for the nursing staff, including managing daily staffing plans and maintaining schedules for optimal efficiency.  You will work in partnership with Management and Physicians to ensure quality and efficiency in patient care and the development of clinical staff. You will contribute to operations management and budget planning of assigned business unit(s).
 
The ideal candidate will work well independently, be adept at communicating with employees and management and enjoy a fast-paced, energetic environment.
 
This is a full time (80 hours per pay period) day shift (M-F) position with benefits.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • Two years applicable clinical experience.
  • Current California RN license 
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills as well as team development, planning and follow-through.
  • Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility for assigned services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of patient care.
  • Graduate of an accredited program.
  • BLS certification American Heart Association (AHA) provider or American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
  • All certs required for the highest level RN under their direction
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BSN
  • Leadership experience
