The Supervisor, Revenue Cycle performs quality audits, providing retraining or action plans as needed to improve accuracy and meet registration/patient placement standards. Mentors/coaches staff as needed. Generates and reviews reports to track performance outcomes, performs root cause analysis to identify performance improvement needs. Assigns work based on staffing levels and work load to optimize productivity and meet department standards. Responsible for keeping abreast of current policies, practices and procedures and provide guidance to staff. Assists in urgent situations requiring immediate decision making. Responsible for assisting/preparing staff schedules and managing coverage arrangements to ensure excellent patient care. Oversee Patient Logistics functions when needed to ensure 24/7 coverage for all 5 acute care sites along with transfer center. Continually evaluates patient placement processes and collaborates with all 5 Acute hospital sites along with Central Transfer Center staff to enhance patient placement times/processes, meeting established time goals.
This is a full time opportunity with varied shifts.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • Minimum 3 years in an acute hospital environment.
  • Knowledge and experience in hospital registration, admissions and billing office policies.
  • Familiarity with scheduling protocols and methodology.
  •  Excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to work with people at all levels and ability to prioritize numerous tasks.
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel.
  • 1 Year supervisory or lead role.
  • Experience with Bed Placement software and acute care patient placement algorithms.
  • Experience with identifying and understanding Insurance plans and coverage.
  • Medical terminology knowledge.
