The Supervisor of Patient Care RN will work in with our leading Emergency Services team. The Supervisor RN will ensures nursing practice reflects established standards of care and practice and a culture that promotes patient safety. Under the general direction of the Patient Care Manager, the Supervisor RN will share leadership responsibilities for the Emergency Services nursing unit, including: managing daily staffing plans, ensuring appropriate and timely use of bed placement technology and adhering to care processes for bed placement/patient transfer/patient transport/room cleaning and patient discharge. More importantly, the Supervisor RN ensures the safe transition of patients thru the continuum of care to include active participation of nursing staff in planning and coordinating total patient care, and direct hand-off to next appropriate level of care.
 
This is a Night Shift, Full Time (80 hours per pay period) exempt position with benefits.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • Two (2) years emergency services clinical RN acute care experience
  • One (1) year leadership experience (i.e. charge RN)
  • Current California RN license
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS Healthcare Provider Certifications through American Heart Association
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Requires excellent skills in communication, problem-solving, team development, planning and follow-through
  • Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility for assigned services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of patient care
  • Provider and all competencies/certifications required of the charge RN on the unit
     
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BSN - Bachelor’s degree in nursing
  • CEN - Certified Emergency Nursing
