As the RN Supervisor of Surgery you will work with our leading Surgical Services team ensureing nursing practices reflects established standards of care and practice and a culture that promotes patient safety. Under the general direction of the Patient Care Manager, you will share leadership responsibilities for the 12 room OR  unit serving multi-service specialities, including managing daily staffing plans and ensures the safe transition of patients thru the continuum of care to include active participation of nursing staff in planning and coordinating total patient care, and direct hand-off to next appropriate level of care.

 

Job Requirements

This is a 7:00  - 19:30 day shift with Administrative Call rotation.
 Required:
  • Three (3) years applicable RN operating room acute care experience
  • One (1) year leadership experience (i.e. charge RN)
  • Current California RN license
  • Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare
  • Requires excellent skills in communication, problem-solving, team development, planning and follow-through
  • Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility for assigned services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of patient care
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BSN
  • CNOR
