Scripps Health Plan Services has very high volume of letters that are regulatory driven and monitored for efficiency, template format, turnaround time each month. This role oversees all document control functions for Managed Care Operations, including monthly policy and procedure review, document naming convention, version control, and adherence to all regulatory record retention policies. The Supervisor plays a large role in prepping for regulatory audits and is responsible for all version control. Coordinates our Policy and Procedure Committee meeting. Oversees letter creation, benefit materials, new member letters, tracking, retention, retrieval, destruction, disaster recovery, fatal edits and manage company documents.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • 3 years of document control management for all managed care documents or equivalent experience in a health care managed care setting.
  • Experience in scanning, image, organize and maintain documents, adhering to the company's document lifecycle procedures, and they archive inactive records in accordance with the State, Federal, and NCQA regulatory records retention schedule.
  • Strong project management skills in order to develop and maintain documents such as meeting minutes, drawings, specifications, approvals, denials, claims, in an organized efficient fashion.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage time well, multitask and troubleshoot.
  • Strong understanding of Medical Terminology, interpersonal, communication and customer service skills with internal and external business partners.
  •  Must be computer-savvy and well-versed in all Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience with document control software, such as SharePoint and using a scanner.

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration.
