The Gluck Child Care Center was established in 1993 to provide child care services to the employees of Scripps Health and The Scripps Research Institute.
 
Gluck Child Care Center serves children ages 3 months to 6 years of age in eight age-appropriate classrooms. The program is staffed by fully-qualified, accomplished teachers. Parents are always welcome and encouraged to visit. Their philosophy of education is to provide an integrated curriculum in which imagination and self-expression flourish.
 
As Substitute Teacher Assistant you will assist with the care, development, and supervision of young children.
 

•**This is a per diem position***

Job Requirements

Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and experience working with young children.
  • Must be able to lift a child weighing up to 50 lbs., visually supervise children playing, hear a child's call for help, and respond physically to a child's needs.
Required Certification/Registration:
  • Infant and Child BLS/First Aid certification through American Health Association.
Required Education/Course(s)/Training:
  • 12 Child Development or Early Childhood Units and six month's experience in a childcare setting working with young children ages 3 months to 6 years old.
