Our Scripps System-wide Resource Team works throughout the Scripps hospital five (5) locations. 
 
The types of opportunities we offer are as follows:

SYSTEM WIDE FLOAT TEAM - Scripps employees who support the day-to-day and short-term assignments.
 
Seeking part-time and full-time staff with options for day or night shift.
 
SYSTEM WIDE RESOURCE TEAM - Scripps employees who support long-term assignments, typically 12 weeks in duration.
 

Join our team as a Sterile Processing/Surgical Tech where you will be responsible for the cleaning, packaging, sterilization, storage, and distribution of medical instruments, equipment, and supplies used for patient care. Cleans and disinfects equipment requiring decontamination or sterilization according to designated principles of asepsis. Responsible for testing and recording of sterilizer equipment performance to ensure operating within sterility standards. Maintains established control systems for supplies and equipment processed. Functions as surgical technologist by assuming the responsibility of that role which includes ensuring rooms and case specific supplies and equipment are ready for use, patient transport and positioning, and performance of scrub role to assist physicians and nurses during surgical procedures.

Job Requirements

Experience/Specialized Skills:

  • Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
  • 1 year of recent experience in Central Processing 
  • 1 year of recent experience as a Surgical Tech (OR) setting.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
 
Required Certification/Registration:
  • American Heart Association BLS certification
  • Certified Surgical Technologist.
