Join our team supporting Scripps Health as a Sonographer at both Scripps Mercy Hospital Chula Vista and Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego. This position will work in our dual lab where we see both general and vascular cases. We are looking for an experienced Sonographer who is willing to jump in become a cohesive member of our team.

The Sonographer is responsible for providing age specific care, education, and imaging procedures in conjunction with other members of the defined health care team. They will work within safety standards and regulatory requirements, participate in Quality Control and Performance Improvement activities, and perform sonographic tests and operate equipment proficiently with a high level of physician satisfaction.

The position is Casual (Per-diem) and requires weekend, evening, and night availability in addition to taking call as necessary. The position is primarily located at Scripps Memorial Hospital Chula Vista, but will also involve shifts at Scripps Memorial Hospital San Diego as well.

Job Requirements

  • Completion of formal training/educational program in a school that is accredited by CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs)
  • ARDMS OB/GYN, Abdomen, or RVT
  • BLS from the American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least one year of experience in a hospital or clinic setting
