Join our Imaging Department as a Sonographer at our Scripps Coastal Medical Center in Vista. The Sonographer will utilize their technical knowledge and skills to provide excellent care to a diverse range of case types with both general diagnostic exams as well as a significant Obstetrics caseload. The ideal candidate is a great team player and is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure a positive patient experience.
 
The Diagnostic Sonographer is responsible for performing ultrasound examinations and providing ultrasound guidance for associated diagnostic procedures. You will be responsible for providing age specific care, education, and imaging procedures in conjunction with our engaged nurses and physicians. You will adhere to safety standards and regulatory requirements; participates in Quality Control and Performance Improvement activities while maintaining your clinical competency and mandatory requirements.
 
This position is full-time (80 hours per pay period) position working primarily Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00AM to 5:30PM, located at Scripps Coastal Medical Center in Vista, and must be willing to rotate to sites in Oceanside and Encinitas as needed.  

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills: Completion of formal training/educational program in a school that is accredited by CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs). Imaging experience in a hospital or clinic setting. Excellent interpersonal skills.
 
Required Certification/Registration: ARDMS or CCI, and BLS.
 
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills: RDCS or RCS and RVT or RVS and 1-2 years’ experience. Knowledge of patient focused care delivery.
