We are seeking a compassionate, experienced Social Worker to join our Psychiatric Acute Care team at Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego. Our diverse team is dedicated to serving the community with the highest quality of care.
 
Social Workers provide an important role within the hospital by assisting patients and families with personal and environmental problems which relate to mental illness or which interfere with their obtaining maximum benefits from available services. Active in discharge planning, program development and provision of groups and services. Provides peer supervision for other staff and education for social work interns.
 
This position is Full-Time, 8 hour DAY shifts, VARIED schedule that includes Weekends

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:
 
  • Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) or Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) from an accredited University/College
  • Licensed by the state of California Behavioral Science Examiners Board as a  Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider American Heart Association
 
Preferred Qualifications:  
  • Experience in Psychiatric Acute as a Social Worker
