We are seeking a compassionate, experienced Psychiatric Social Worker to join our Clinical team at our new Mercy Senior Health Center in San Diego. Our diverse team is dedicated to serving the community with the highest quality of care.
 
As a Psychiatric Social Worker you provide an important role within the Mercy Scripps System by assisting patients and families with personal and environmental problems which relate to mental illness or which interfere with their obtaining maximum benefits from available services. You will be active in discharge planning, program development and provision of groups and services. Provide peer supervision for other staff and education for social work interns.  The ideal candidate will have experience in an ambulatory setting
 
This position is Full-Time, 8 hour DAY shift position with, VARIED schedule that includes Weekends and Holidays.  Position is located at our Mercy Senior Health Center in San Diego.
 

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • Minimum of Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited university or college (MSW) or Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT).
Required Certification/Registration:
  • Must be licensed by the State of California Behavioral Science Examiners Board as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Marriage Family Therapist. BLS. (LMFT)
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
  • Experience in an Ambulatory Setting as a Social Worker
