The Sr. Web Specialist will play an integral role in supporting the paid digital marketing efforts at Scripps Health. The position would work with our internal clients to translate marketing goals into digital tactics. They will collaborate with team members in design, development, digital and traditional marketing to develop website content and campaigns that drive conversion.
 
The ideal candidate will have experience creating, analyzing, measuring and optimizing online marketing campaigns. They will assist with the management of all aspects of paid media and work with media and advertising agencies/vendors to optimize performance and deliver results. The candidate would use a content management system (CMS) to create content for paid traffic while partnering with the technical team to enhance and maintain website usability. The role will also include responsibilities in analytics, reporting, conversion tracking, and A/B testing.
 
The Web Content Specialist, Sr., is responsible for executing and managing complex digital communication strategies and projects. He she conceptualizes and creates content for websites and other online media as assigned. In addition to researching, writing, editing and proofreading content, the senior specialist works closely with the technical team to enhance and maintain site usability; and the marketing team to execute the organizations digital marketing strategy. The Web Content Specialist, Sr., manages the design, development, coordination and planning, content creation, website promotion and content maintenance of specific sections of the consumer and patient Web portals, collaborating with clinicians, administrators, information architects, developers and user experience professionals.
 
This position is a limited tenure role through December 31st, 2018.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • Five years of experience managing content and production for a high traffic website.
  • Paid search and AdWords experience.
  • Exceptional writing, editing and organizational skills.
  • Experience working in health care communications and or technology. Project management experience as a team lead.
  • A proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross departmental team.
  • Flexible, detail oriented and analytical.
  • Bachelors degree in English, journalism, communication or a related field.
  • Requires knowledge of HTML, digital content management systems, project management software and Web metrics tools.
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
  • Masters degree a plus.
  • Media planning experience at an advertising agency
