With our partnership with MD Anderson, this research team has been fortunate to see additional exposure to a range of studies in oncology clinical trials and participate in process improvements. The Research Associate Sr. will be a key resource for a research team of 8 to assist with staffing studies, troubleshooting issues and mentoring. This position is ideal for someone who has a very strong working knowledge of oncology clinical trials.

The Research Associate Sr. is responsible for planning, implementation and oversight of a variety of clinical trials within the scope of practice of clinical research professionals at Scripps Health; maintains compliance with all applicable institutional, state and federal regulations in collaboration with investigator; performs independently as a project manager to coordinate all aspects of clinical research projects within core business services of unit. Other responsibilities include oversight of day to day operations of unit they lead, assists with assignments of tasks when team members workload requires, acts as expert and point of contact to other team members in unit with regards to core business services, training other research personnel in coordination of clinical research; works with leadership to define best practice, standardization of processes, and define key performance indicators of team. Responsible for working with the team, team leads and leadership to solve problems, document solutions and communicate around needed changes. Serves as a liaison between the organization, investigators, and the research sponsors.

This is a full time position, Monday through Friday, generally 8-5pm.

Job Requirements

Required:
  • 5 years clinical coordinator experience.
  • CCRC required within 1 year of Date of Hire
  • American Heart Association BLS

Preferred:
  • Experience with oncology clinical trials
