As Senior Financial Analyst, also know as Managed Care Contract Analyst (MCCA), you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact to the Payer Relations department and Scripps Health systemwide and be involved in the most cutting-edge, innovative contractual relationships.
You will provide analytical depth and expertise to substantiate strategic growth, and enable effective maintenance of contract and payer data, reimbursement modeling, trend analysis, financial proposal development, contract term optimization, risk analysis and payer financial performance audits. As Senior Financial Analyst, you will direct business analysis for all new and renewing managed care contract negotiations, maintain managed care portfolio reports, support and coordination with revenue cycle and other internal systems and serve as an advisor for optimizing reimbursement terms.
This is a Full Time, Salaried position location in La Jolla.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, math or health administration.
  • 3 years broad-base healthcare experience with knowledge of healthcare products and services knowledge.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
  • Master's degree in business, health administration, math or statistics preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of EPIC, Business Intelligence reporting technologies, and data mart technologies (ideally MS SQL or ACL) and principles.
  • Knowledge of Managed Care and Contract Reimbursement Methodologies.
  • Previous experience modeling hospital contracts.
  • Previous Health Plans experience highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of modeling reimbursement.
  • Reviewing payment terms in healthcare services contract preferred.
