Join our 32 bed ICU. As a critical-care Nursing Supervisor you will ensure nursing practice reflects established standards of care and practice and a culture that promotes patient safety. Under the general direction of the Patient Care Manager, shares leadership responsibilities for the nursing unit, including managing daily staffing plans. Ensures appropriate and timely use of bed placement technology and adherence to care processes for bed placement/patient transfer/patient transport/room cleaning and patient discharge. Ensures the safe transition of patients thru the continuum of care to include active participation of nursing staff in planning and coordinating patient care, and direct hand-off to next appropriate level of care.

 

Job Requirements


This is a full time 12 hour night shift position.
Required Criteria
  • At least two (2) years of applicable experience, one of which in a leadership role.
  • Requires excellent skills in communication, problem-solving, team development, planning and follow-through.
  • Current CA State RN license
  • American Heart Association BLS certification
  • American Heart Association ACLS certification
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and follow instructions in English
 
Preferred Criteria
  • 5 years ICU experience in a Level I Trauma Hospital
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
